In this show you’re going to hear an interview with a champion vlogger and podcaster and now book author! Amy Schmittauer – who totally created a rap video clip as part of her book launch! – is on the show to discuss vlogging, how to get started in vlogging, how to get over the mindset…
I was absolutely dancing-around-the-living-room chuffed and honoured to sit in the hosting chair of one of my FAVOURITE podcasts, the Biz Chix podcast, to interview host Natalie Eckdahl on her 3 year podcast anniversary. We dig into her biz and podcast journey – and it’s an epic journey to six figures and being recognised as Inc.com’s top 5 women podcasters for female entrepreneurs. Settle in!
Warning Empire Builders, shiz gonna get REAL today. I don’t know what happened but over the long weekend in January I took a walk on the beach and I don’t know about you, but the beach makes me so much more grounded and connected to the woo woo, vulnerable side of me.
So… what i wanted to do was share a bit of the story of why I started podcasting. I share this story a lot, but I share the edited version, and I wanted to give you the real behind the scenes look at my failings, flaws and fears.
I mean I’ve talked on the podcast before – particularly episode 37 – about what I’ve learned from podcasting but that’s the business stuff. And you know I love the business stuff.
If you love the business stuff, you should also check out my interview with Ronsley Vaz, founder of We Are Podcast in episode 57 about podcasting, and episode 61 where i share a whole lot of awesome content creation tips from We Are Podcast 2016.
But this episode is NOT one of those.
Because I’m on the beach it’s also a little bit windy at times, but I’ve listened back and the audio is not atrocious, so bear with me.
For now, let’s answer the questions WHY YOU? WHY NOW?
Wondering if podcasting is for you, and if it is how to actually grow a podcast? These are the questions I want to answer for you. If you’re podcasting or creating any kind of content, you’ll get ideas that you can apply to your business right now.
I want to answer the question I know burns in your mind. Should I start a podcast? Are you interested in learning how entrepreneurs use podcasting to build their business? I’m going into how podcasting is a tool to turn your tiny business into an empire. Read on!
I’m so excited to be catching up with the Merrymaker Sisters again in this episode. I first spoke to Emma and Carla when they where building a blog and sharing paleo recipes and I was starting my podcast. It’s been two years of full-time merrymaking for the girls & big changes in my biz too and I’m thrilled to be able to share their epic journey with you.
I’ve wanted to write this post for a long time! If I had a dollar for every entrepreneur I meet who is writing a book but want to wait till that’s launched to think about podcasting … well I could probably buy you a coffee. With almond milk.
In my opinion, a podcast and a book aren’t an either/or. Or a this and then. They can work together brilliantly to help you build your audience and credibility holistically.
